| Like Hunter S. Thompson... Gonzo Imperial Porter is deep and complex. This turbo charged version of the Road Dog Porter is mysteriously dark with a rich and malty body, intense roasted flavors, and a surprisingly unique hop kick. With Gonzo weighing in at 7.8% ABV, it will bite you in the ass if you don't show it the proper respect. |

We had to do something to honor our friend and co-conspirator Dr. Gonzo and last time we checked the sign out front said brewery, so it seemed only right to unleash a tribute beer.
Like Hunter Thompson, this beer is deep and complex. Gonzo Imperial Porter has been brewed with black, chocolate and crystal malts, and hopped with Millennium and Cascades. This is a turbo-charged version of the Road Dog and at 7.8% ABV it will bite you in the ass if you don't show it the proper respect.
Available in 4-packs, this beer is released several times a year in a limited fashion. If you see Gonzo on a retail shelf you better grab it, because these small batches disappear quick.

Would Hunter have approved? Well we’ll never know for sure, however, a swarm of bats was seen hovering over our Frederick, MD brewery the other day, so we're taking that as a thumbs up.
